What you need to know about our exterior process:

As you may know, the preparation for painting is as important – if not MORE important – than the actual painting itself. Here at Sustainable Painters, you can expect the highest quality standards including the following preparation:

Pressure wash your entire house (including soffits, fascia, windows and dormers)
Scrape and rough sand all wooden areas where the paint is flaking and failing
Silicone around window and door trims, hairline cracks in the stucco or wood siding, and alongside any wood accents, fascia, ect.
Repair small stucco areas
Replace any rotting wood or cedar shakes
Wood fill gaps, holes and inconsistencies where needed
Spot prime any exposed wood

All of this work is completed before we take down your downspouts, mask off your soffits and fascia, or even touch a can (or pail) of paint to start doing the fun work of making your home beautiful again! Depending on your exterior needs, we use a variety of top-of-the-line products, including premium latex paints and enamels, solid and semi-solid stains, and bring masonry products specifically designed for more porous surfaces.
